Welcome
This is my central workspace where I document projects, share lessons from fractional leadership, and write about building and scaling revenue engines.
I’m Remco Livain.
Fractional Marketing & Sales Executive working with leadership teams to build, fix, and scale revenue engines.
I work with founders, CEOs, and boards of direct-to-consumer and growth-stage companies — often at moments of transition: international expansion, leadership changes, stalled growth, or increasing complexity.
This website is where I document that work.

What you’ll find here
Livain.com is not a portfolio and not a polished thought-leadership feed.
It’s a working archive of real projects, decisions, and lessons learned.
Here, I share:
- Active and completed projects — including scope, context, and outcomes
- How I work as a Fractional Executive — frameworks, playbooks, and trade-offs
- Industry deep dives based on hands-on experience (DTC, clinics, international expansion)
- Lessons learned from scaling, fixing, and sometimes undoing things
Everything here is written by me, based on real mandates — not abstract theory.
Why I work in public (to a degree)
Fractional leadership only works when there is trust.
Trust comes from transparency.
That’s why I choose to document my work openly:
- What worked
- What didn’t
- What I would do differently next time
Some details are anonymized where required.
The thinking never is.
How this site fits into the rest of my life
I’ve intentionally stepped away from using social platforms as my primary communication channel.
- This site is my main place for long-form thinking and documentation
- A small newsletter is how I share updates when something is worth sharing
- Threads & Instagram remain personal — for daily thoughts, interests, and life outside work
If you’re here, you’re already in the right place.
